The sports industry arrives in Barcelona for SPORTBIZ EUROPE
The European Congress of Sports Business returns to Barcelona from 18-21 October with a diverse program of activities.
SPORTBIZ EUROPE, the European Congress of Sports Business, returns to Barcelona from October 18 to 21 with a wide range of activities around the city that include conferences, panels, networking sessions, an exhibition area, an innovation showcase and specialized workshops, bringing together 400 attendees from multiple countries and a global community of more than 1,000 people.
This 2022 Barcelona event will combine panels and conferences at the Antigua Fábrica Estrella Damm with visits and workshops at the RCDE Stadium (home to top LaLiga side Espanyol) and the central offices of basketballs Euroleague all preceded with a welcome cocktail at the Hotel Pulitzer. The connectivity and infrastructure of Barcelona make it an ideal venue to host this type of congress.
Part of the link between the event and the city is reinforced with the support of Barcelona City Council and Barcelona Activa, the City Council’s Local Development Agency. The Congress, organized by Good Morning Sports, also has the support of leading brands in the sports industry such as the Johan Cruyff Institute, SPORTFIVE, Dragon Rouge and WSC Sports.
Patricio Baigorrotegui, co-director of Good Morning Sports, defines SPORTBIZ as “a multisport concept that has already had more than 20 editions in 11 countries, with an active network that continuously feeds off itself and crosses borders.” “The sports business has a global nature and we were born in 2016 with that vision, with a clear objective of connecting the main players in the sports industry in an environment conducive to networking, sharing knowledge and promoting business,” Patricio stressed.
High calibre speakers
Among the most noteworthy speakers of the 2022 edition are representatives from FIFA, Formula 1, ATP Tour, FIBA, FC Bayern, TikTok, Bundesliga, LaLiga, Euroleague Basketball, and the Premier League, among more than 50 prominent executives from the sector. The sessions will be focused on responding to the most complex challenges facing the sports industry today and projecting the future.
“Our congress has a strong multi-sport imprint and content focused on Marketing, Audiences, Fan Engagement, Innovation and Sponsorship.” highlighted Laura Cordeiro Jáuregui, co-director of Good Morning Sports. “We focus on transmitting, through industry leaders, the best practices and trends for those who work in marketing, content, and those who connect fans, brands, and sports properties.”
