This is how much companies pay to advertise on the Las Vegas sphere during the Formula 1 race week
Las Vegas is getting ready to host the F1 Grand Prix for the fifth time with the city looking forward to a financial bonanza.

Despite heavy weather hampering the prelude to the 2025 F1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, anticipation is sky-high in Sin City ahead of the fifth staging of the celebrated race.
Lando Norris takes a 24-point lead into this weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, with Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen giving chase.
Vegas victory not enough for Norris
Currently, Norris leads his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri by 24 points (390 to 366) and he sits 49 points ahead of reigning champion Max Verstappen. A Vegas win would extend Norris’ lead - potentially to 49 points over Piastri and 74 over Verstappen - yet with 58 points still available in the remaining races, the championship will be decided in Qatar (November 30) or Abu Dhabi (December 7).

The 3.8-mile Las Vegas circuit features 17 turns and two DRS zones, with drivers expected to reach speeds up to 217 mph as they navigate past landmarks like Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the Venetian.
Financial bonanza for Vegas
The Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is projected to have a massive economic impact on the city, continuing the trend from previous years.
The race is expected to generate around $934 million for the local economy, similar to last year’s figure. This includes spending on hotels, dining, entertainment, and other visitor activities. It’s second only to the Super Bowl in terms of economic impact for Las Vegas.

Approximately $45 million in state and local taxes are also anticipated to be generated from the event.
Attendees spend an average of $2,400 per person on non-race activities like shopping, dining, and entertainment, which is nearly double the typical Las Vegas tourist expenditure.
Advertising on the Sphere during F1 week
The cost of advertising on the iconic dome costs $450,000 for a single day, 650,000 for a week-long campaign and these these rates typically include:
A 90-second creative spot displayed multiple times.
Access to the Sphere’s anamorphic 3D creative capabilities.

It features 580K square feet of fully-programmable LED lighting to produce life-like images visible from miles away.
And the story behind it is wilder than the videos it creates:

The Sphere’s exterior is the largest LED screen on Earth (580,000 sq. ft.), delivering:
4.7 million daily impressions, including: 300,000 in-person impressions and 4.4 million social media impressions from viral sharing.
During F1 week, visibility skyrockets because the circuit runs around the Sphere, making it a centerpiece of global broadcasts and social media content.
