Tyson Fury “not thinking about retirement”

World Champion boxer Tyson Fury is concerned with only one thing right now and that’s beating Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium next week.

World heavyweight champion and undefeated Tyson Fury will face Dillian Whyte on St. George’s Day, Saturday April 23 at a sold-out Wembley Stadium.

In a news conference announcing the fight, Fury was asked if he’d retire after and his response was “100 percent”.

“I’m a two-time undisputed world champion. I have 150 million pounds in the bank and nothing to prove to anybody,” he said.

But since then, he’s said retirement isn’t even on his mind. “I’m only thinking about Dillian Whyte at the moment. I’m not thinking about retirement.”

Fury will be defending the WBC title he won from Deontay Wilder and kept throughout his trilogy with him. The fight between Fury and Whyte has sold more tickets than any other post-war boxing match.

“It was only right for me to come back home and give the British fight fans what they deserve, what everyone’s been gunning for for a long time,” said Fury. “After this fight they’re going to make me the patron saint of England, not St George.”
