“A masterpiece” is how Dana White, CEO of the UFC, described the project coming together for UFC 306. The futuristic venue ‘The Sphere’ in Las Vegas is set to host the event, scheduled for September 14 of this year.

“We’ve spent a lot of money on this event. No one will be able to replicate it because no one can spend as much. It will be a work of art, and that’s a reality; it will never be repeated,” Dana said about the night, which he later confirmed will primarily celebrate Mexican Independence Day.

While speculation about UFC 306 has just begun, it’s likely that up to three titles will be on the line. Two of these will feature the most high-profile champions of the moment, with the third being the most anticipated fight in women’s MMA.

The rise of Ilia Topuria is notable. Unless there is a drastic shift, he is poised to become the face of UFC in the coming years. The Spanish-Georgian fighter combines in-cage talent with continuous showmanship when handed a microphone—both crucial ingredients for success in the world’s largest MMA promotion.
