Jake Paul went from being a successful YouTube star to becoming a boxer. The transition happened in 2020 when he began taking part in celebrity fights and he started to show an impressive talent for the short time he has been training. There is doubt whether he should keep doing these bouts, because he has refused to challenge a former or current boxer so far in his short career.

The American announced on Tuesday that his next fight will be against former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva on 29 October in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be a pay-per-view main event at Gila River Arena that has a seating capacity for around 18,300, with 3,075 club seats and 87 luxury seats.

Who has Jake Paul fought?

Unlike his brother Logan, Jake Paul has yet to fight a real boxer because in the past he has taken on NBA players, other YouTubers and former MMA champions. That takes away a little of his credibility and places doubt on his real abilities. The younger of the Pauls has a record of five wins and no defeats.

Jake Paul was supposed to fight Hasim Rahman Jr., son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, but the fight was canceled due to several factors. Rahman Jr. has a record of 12 wins and one defeat, but he has six KOs. So a dominant performance against a real boxer could massively reignite Paul’s career in the sport, but until then, there will always be doubts.
