US Open 2022: What is the prize money and how many ATP and WTA points are distributed?
Tennis players competing at the US Open stand to win ATP and WTA ranking points, and a large share of a record-breaking amount of prize money.
The US Open, the last Grand Slam tournament of the season, has brought the the biggest tennis players in the world together to battle for the illustrious title, as well as add further ATP points to climb up the individual rankings. Oh, and there’s some decent prize money in store for them too.
How many points are distributed for the ATP and WTA ranking at the US Open?
The US Open distributes the same number of points in the men’s and women’s categories and, being a Grand Slam tournament, it also awards the same amount as the Australian Open, the French Open, and Wimbledon. This is the distribution of US Open points based on the round that each player reaches. Five men were in a position to become world number one after this tournament.

This is up from a total of $57.5 million last year. The singles champions will win $2.6 million each, while those who win the doubles trophy will pocket $688,000.
