World championship boxing returns to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York this weekend with Gervonta Davis' bout against Lamont Roach topping the bill.

Davis, who stated that he would be hanging up his gloves for good later this year, defends his WBA lightweight belt for the fourth time while Roach moves up a weight class to challenge him.

‘Tank’ clinched the WBA lightweight belt in December 2021 after beating Mexican Isaac Cruz by unanimous decision over 12 rounds at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Since then, Davis has seen off challenges from Rolando Romero (KO), Héctor García, Ryan Garcia and Frank Martin - all knockouts apart from the January 2023 fight against García (TKO).

Davis' undefeated record stands at 30-0, with 28 of those wins coming by knockout. Facing him on Saturday will be Lamont Roach (25-1-1, 10 KO), WBA super featherweight champion since 2023. He retaining his title after defeating Feargal McCrory by TKO in June.

The fight will take place on Saturday 1 March at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, United States. The card will start at 8 p.m. ET with the the main event is scheduled for 11 p.m. ET.
