What big change could Alcaraz introduce in his tennis schedule in 2025?
The current French Open and Wimbledon champion is focused on the Olympics but he’s also thinking of next year’s schedule plan.
Carlos Alcaraz has returned to his training sessions after taking some days off since his Wimbledon victory. The four-time major champion will now have to transition from grass to clay to get ready for the 2024 Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris at the end of this month.
Although three Grand Slam events have already been played, there’s still a lot to come, with the Olympic gold medal and the US Open being Alcaraz’s main priorities in the short term.
The 21-year-old star will have some busy weeks from now on, as after the Summer Olympics, he will fly to Canada and the US for the hard-court tour before featuring in the US Open in New York.
Alcaraz’s 2025 tennis plan could include a big change at the start of the year
Despite his busy agenda, the player and his staff are already planning the tennis agenda for 2025 and the first decision Juan Carlos Ferrero’s player has taken is he will play in the ATP 500 Rotterdam tournament, where he will meet Jannik Sinner.
The indoor fast-court tournament in the Netherlands announced on social media the world No. 3 will feature in the event for the first time. That would mean Alcaraz would miss the Buenos Aires (ATP 250) and the Rio de Janeiro (ATP 500) tournaments, which he has already won.
These are the medium-term plans for Carlitos, who’s excited to keep the momentum going in the French capital in his first presence in the Olympics. He will try to reign supreme in Paris in the singles tournament and in the doubles one, where he will team up with Rafa Nadal.
