What is Bill Murray’s golf handicap?

The iconic comedy actor is one of many celebrities taking part in the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Once known for his work on the cult classic comedy movie ‘Caddyshack’, Bill Murray now more commonly seen on the greens on the amateur golf circuit.

Murray has played at some of the world’s most prestigious courses and is competing in the 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this weekend in St. Andrews, Scotland. The pro-am tournament feature many A-List golf lovers, including the 74-year-old Murray.

A regular golfer, USA Today reports the Bill Murray plays off a handicap of 7.2.

Murray is a regular at celebrity golf tournaments around the world and is a fan favourite, often seen wearing his signature look of berets, bell bottom trousers and full suits.

Which celebrities are playing at the Dunhill Links Championship?

While Murray is always a favourite on the pro-am circuit, he’s one of many big names that will be on show this weekend. Actor Hugh Grant is another A-Lister with a single-figure handicap taking part at Dunhill Links.

From the world of music, Linkin Park bass player Dave Farrell, Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres, and 1980s sensation Huey Lewis will be in attendance. TV personality Piers Morgan, who has participated in the event for several years, will also be there.

However the majority of the famous names come from the world of sport, with former soccer players well-represented. Ex-Real Madrid star and keen golfer Gareth Bale, former AC Milan midfielder Ruud Gullit and England international turned pundit Jamie Redknapp are all taking part.

Other figures from the world of sport include champion jockey Sir AP McCoy, five-time Olympic gold medal-winning rower Sir Steve Redgrave and former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway will all be vying for top spot.
