Team Europe is seeking revenge after their 19-9 defeat by the USA in the previous 2021 Ryder Cup. Below is the schedule for Friday’s tournament commencing.

The 2023 Ryder Cup tournament is all set to take place from September 29 to October 1 at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Rome. It is the 44th edition of the biennial tournament, which is one of the most prestigious events in the world of men’s international golf. The event will witness fierce competition between Team US and Team Europe.

Team USA emerged victorious in the previous edition of the Ryder Cup with a comprehensive 19-9 victory against Team Europe at Whistling Straits in 2021. As the reigning champions, they will aim to retain their title. However, the champions have not won on European soil since 1993, making it challenging for them.

The tournament will begin with the first two days comprising of team matches, including foursome and fourball matches. In the foursome match, two players from each team will take turns to play a single ball until the hole is completed. In the fourball match, each player plays with their own ball, and the team with the lowest score on each hole wins. The tournament’s final day will mainly focus on all 12 head-to-head singles matches, where each player from one team will play against another.

The Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, which will host the event, is a beautiful and challenging course that is spread over 160 hectares of pristine land. The course is designed to test the skills of even the most seasoned golfers and is expected to provide a thrilling backdrop to the tournament.
