The windy conditions at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches in Florida are making it tough on players to score low on Friday. Lots of water hazards, hard greens, tough pin placements and a stiff breeze are frustrating golfers, who are struggling to make birdies on the bermuda grass greens.

So, how about some of the big names?

Rory McIlroy finishes play on Friday at 8-under par along with Shane Lowry and Cameron Young amongst others. Rickie Fowler, Zach Johnson and Camilo Villegas will also be playing this weekend.

What is the cut line at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches?

The standard PGA Tour cut rules apply with the top 65 players and ties advancing through to the weekend after the end of the second round.

The cut line is at -2

Who are some big names who won’t be playing this weekend?

At the moment Sepp Straka, another member of the European Ryder Cup team, won’t be playing Saturday or Sunday after shooting 74 on Friday. Speaking of the Ryder Cup, Robert MacIntyre is right on the cutline at -2. Crowd favorite and Netflix star Joel Dahmen will be packing his bags as well after going +2 after two rounds. We’ll keep you posted here as play continues on Friday. Padraig Harrington and Matt Kuchar are two other top golfers who will be heading home early this week.
