There have been no shortage of shocks from the opening two days of play at the 2024 RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club.

Michael Thorbjornsen bounced back from recent knee surgery to post an 8-under 64 on the first round at the Plantation Course. Patrick Fishbur shot an impressive 64 on Friday to find himself alone at the top of the leaderboard.

There was disappointment for reigning champion Ludvig Aberg, the world No. 5, who shot a 3-over 73 on the first day of play. He battled back on Friday with an incredible 9-under par to be T17 at 8-under par after two rounds.

The big news of the day was for those on the bubble. The ten players trying to hold on to their PGA Tour card by finishing the season in the top 125. We won’t know until Sunday how that finished for some of them but below we can tell you who as made the cut to really help their chances of staying in the PGA Tour in 2025

What is the cut line at the RSM Classic?

Play is still ongoing on day two at Sea Island Golf Club but there are already some big names in danger of missing out on the weekend action. As of 10:45am ET on Friday morning, the cut line is currently 1-under par.

The golfers on the bubble are the ones we’re really interested in today as their future on the PGA Tour could be in jeopardy. Fan favorite Joel Dahmen is currently No. 124 on the PGA Tour FedEx Cup rankings and has made it into the weekend to continue to fight to keep his tour status. He finished 1-under par and on the cut line. Right there with him on the list is YouTuber Wesley Bryan (125), finished at 1-over par for the tournament despite starting the day at -2. A bogey on 13 and a double on 14 are making things complicated for the internet star. He got it back to even for the tournament with a birdie on 15, but the roller coaster continued on 16 with a bogey and he couldn’t do better than par on 17 and 18. Bryan won’t be playing this weekend.

Players on the bubble

  • David Skinns (121) 7-over par
  • Sam Ryder (123) 6-over par
  • Zac Blair (124) 1-over par
  • Wesley Bryan (125) 1-over par

* Hayden Springer (130), Daniel Berger (129), Adrien Dumont de Chassart (128); Henrik Norlander(127) and Joel Dahmen (126) made the cut.

Finally, World Golf Hall of Fame member Davis Love III was forced to withdraw. He is only in the field due to his number of career victories and he is now the host of the PGA Tour tournament.
