What is the cut line at the 2024 Wyndham Championship? How many players will make the cut?
The second round of the 2024 Wyndham Championship got underway a day late and golfers are battling to try and make the cut on Saturday.
After being set back from its planned Thursday start due to adverse weather conditions in Greensboro, North Carolina, the 2024 Wyndham Championship finally got underway on Friday after several delayed starts.
A 9:50 a.m. start was earmarked for the first round as organizers hoped that Storm Debby, which has buffeted Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina since hitting the US earlier this week, would continue its path north, leaving drier conditions at Sedgefield Country Club by Friday.
It remains unclear whether the delayed Wyndham Championship will be shortened to ensure it concludes on time. The event is due to run until Sunday 11 August but could be extended to Monday, in order to retain the tournament’s four-round format. The weather outlook for the weekend isn’t great either, with 50% chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday, increasing the possibility of a washout or more delays.
The 2024 Wyndham Championship field comprised 156 players, with a cut to be made after 36 holes to the top 65 players and ties. Everyone who qualifies for the final 36 holes will be eligible to finish the event. The player with the lowest total score after 72 holes will be declared the winner. Any ties after 72 holes will be settled by a sudden-death playoff at the 18th hole.
What is the cut line at the Wyndham Championship?
Round 2 is underway today, Saturday, Aug. 10 as players are trying to position themselves to get through to play over rounds 3 and 4. Currently the cut line is 2-under par (-2) with some big names trying to move up the leaderboard. Akshay Bhatia is at 1-under par and one shot off of the cut line. Shane Lowry and Justin Rose are two European stars who are currently at even-par after the first round.

Viewers in the United States will be able to watch the 2024 Wyndham Championship on the Golf Channel and ESPN+. The Golf Channel will have live coverage from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET on Friday, while ESPN+ will offer four streams throughout the day until 6 p.m. ET.
