As of now, Novak Djokovic, the Serbian tennis player, has a total of 9,990 points in the ATP rankings, which is 1,330 more than Jannik Sinner, who is currently in second place. Djokovic’s remarkable performance this year is expected to keep him at the top of the ATP rankings until May 20.

Meanwhile, the Italian player is currently participating in the Madrid Open tournament. If he wins the title, he will gain 375 points, considerably narrowing the gap between him and Djokovic. This would allow him to surpass Djokovic in the rankings during the upcoming Italian Open in Rome and become the world number one for the first time in his career. It’s worth noting that Djokovic is defending 180 points in Rome, while Siner is defending 90 points. Winning the Italian clay Masters would also put Sinner at the top of the ATP list.

The tournament in Rome is scheduled from May 8 to 19, and Djokovic has won the tournament six times in the past. It is sure to be an exciting event for tennis fans worldwide.

In the current ATP rankings, Carlos Alcaraz is in third place with 8,140 points, making him the youngest player in the top 100. Daniil Medvedev from Russia is in fourth place with 7,085 points, and Aleksandar Zverev from Germany is in fifth place with 5,425 points. Kasper Ruud from Norway, Stefanos Tsitsipas from Greece, Andrey Rublev from Russia, Hubert Hurkacz from Poland, and Grigor Dimitrov from Bulgaria complete the top 10.
