Waste Management Phoenix Open Round Three Saturday Tee Times
We’re waiting for the final groups to finish their second round on Saturday. The countdown is on as the PGA wants to finish on Sunday well before the Super Bowl kicks off
It’s been a struggle in Scottsdale, Arizona since things got under way on Thursday. The rain and cold temperatures have complicated the playing conditions and have caused several delays. The weather is more like something you’d see at the British Open and is definitely not typical to what golf fans in Arizona are used to. The die-hard golf supporters have had to be patient at the Waste Management Phoenix Open while they look up at the sky hoping the sun will pop out again. The forecast doesn’t look great as more rain is expected on Sunday morning.
Round 3 tee times
When will the third round begin on Saturday?
According to the PGA communications X account, tee times will be distributed between 2:10 - 4:10 p.m. MT (4:10 - 6:10 p.m. ET) if the last tee times are at almost 4:10 p.m. local time, it will be impossible for the leaders to finish round 3 on Saturday.
Sunday will be a rush to the finish line as nobody wants to overlap with the Super Bowl, which gets started at 6.30 p.m. ET, that’s 4:30 p.m. in Scottsdale. They’ll need to finish round 3 by 11 a.m. local time if they want to have any chance of wrapping things up before the Chiefs take on the 49ers.
