Ilia Topuria’s immediate future seems close to being resolved. After many months of uncertainty surrounding his next fight, El Matador assures that there is big news coming soon.

Through his X (Twitter) account, the Spanish-Georgian fighter shared an enigmatic message assuring that his fans will not believe what is to come: “When we announce it, you will not believe it. Get ready.”

After vacating the featherweight belt, his dream of fighting Islam Makhachev seems closer than ever and although nothing has been confirmed to date, this weekend UFC 313 will take place in Las Vegas and this would be the perfect time for Dana White to announce this long-awaited fight.

Topuria’s manager Malki Kawa, recently declared that nobody told them that they could not fight for the title; thus fueling the possibility that this hypothetical fight could become a reality.

Topuria’s return appears to be getting closer, and everything points to the UFC International Fight Week at the end of June in Las Vegas seems to be the chosen stage for the return of the Matador.
