What’s the cut line at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open? Rory McIlroy will be heading home early

Joseph McMahon
Born in Chicago, Joe played varsity football and baseball in Bowling Green, Ohio for BGHS and later played lacrosse at BGSU. A year abroad in Spain changed everything. As destiny would have it he ended up living in Zaragoza, running his own business, teaching Journalism at a private university then working as a SEO journalist for Diario AS.
Update:

Rory McIlroy didn’t look like the same player who won the 2025 Master’s at Augusta on Friday. The Irishman started his round with a 13-shot disadvantage with Cameron Champ already in the clubhouse at 12-under par. Rory is currently at 9-over par and will need to figure some things out before the U.S. Open next week.

The stage at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley North Course is proving to be a good test for the players before heading to the U.S. Open next week at Oakmont. Thick rough and narrow fairways are punishing inaccurate golfers, while those finding fairways are having opportunities to make birdies.

What is the cutline at the 2025 RBC Canadian Open?

The projected cut line currently sits at 2-under par (-2). The top 65 golfers and ties will make it through to play this weekend in Toronto. At the moment Rory McIlroy (+9) is not going to make the cut. He’s struggling with his driver, his short game and everything in between.

  • Sungjae Im +1
  • Nick Dunlap +2
  • Mike Weir +5
  • Rory McIlroy +9
  • Matthieu Pavon +10
