When does Taylor Fritz play next in the Italian Open? Opponent, time, and date
Making his maiden appearance in the Italian Open’s quarter finals, American Taylor Fritz continues his Cinderella run against Alexander Zverev
The Italian Open in Rome has seen number eleven ranked Taylor Fritz have a whirlwind run. He started off by beating Italy’s Fabio Fognini in straight sets, before taking down fellow American Sebastian Korda in similar fashion.
Things got more complicated on Tuesday, as it took three sets and a tense tie break to overcome eighth-ranked Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov.
And now the 26-year-old San Diego native will need to dig deep to pick up his first Italian Open Quarterfinals win. In order to do that, Fritz will have to overcome third-ranked German Sacha Zverev.
Fritz has been ranked as high as world number five and has seven ATP Tour singles titles to his name, including Indian Wells in 2022. He reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon that year, as well as at last year’s US Open and the Australian Open earlier this year.
The Italian Open Quarter Final match between Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz will get underway in Rome at 1:30 pm ET on Wednesday, May 15.
