When is Davis - Martin? How to watch on TV, stream online | Boxing

‘Tank’ will return to the ring after a long layoff to take on the undefeated Martin in a card where David Benavidez will face Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

Update:
‘Tank’ will return to the ring after a long layoff to take on the undefeated Martin in a card where David Benavidez will face Oleksandr Gvozdyk.

Boxing fans will witness the return of one of the most entertaining and talented fighters in the sport, as Gervonta Davis steps into the ring this weekend to take on his fellow countryman Frank Davis.

‘Tank’ will defend his WBA lightweight title against a dangerous opponent, as Martin has won all of his fights so far as a professional.

Although Davis is a big favorite, it will be interesting to see both men face each other, as they have a good boxing pedigree. Davis is a 2012 Golden Gloves champion, while Martin earned gold at the Golden Gloves in 2016.

However, the Baltimore-bred star is the more accomplished boxer. He is a three-weight class world champion, after winning belts at super featherweight and super lightweight. ‘The Ghost’, meanwhile, will try to become a world champion for the first time in his career.

The other big fight on the card is the one featuring David Benavidez and Oleksandr Gvozdyk at 175 lbs. The Mexican Monster went up in weight to fight against the former WBC light heavyweight champion. A win against the Ukrainian would open the doors to Benavidez to a potential mega-fight against the winner of the Dmitry Bivol vs Artur Beterbiev clash.
