After postponing the fight due to immigration problems and difficulties in agreeing on a suitable purse, the showdown between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will finally take place.

Paul announced through his Twitter account that the fight will take place on Feb. 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The first meeting between the two boxers will be tomorrow in London, England.

The two young and high-profile fighters were first slated to face each other in December 2021, but Fury pulled out, citing a medical issue. The bout was rescheduled for August, but again failed to materialize as the British fighter encountered visa problems while trying to enter the United States.

Finally, a ‘real boxer’

Through a press release, the YouTuber-turned-pro boxer said he was excited to face a ‘real boxer’ for the first time. With a 6-0 record, his rivals have been Ali Eson Gib, former NBA player Nate Robinson, Ben ASkren, Tyrone Woodley and Anderson Silva.

“The moment of truth has come. On February 26th I will step into the ring against a ‘real fighter’, with an 8-0 record from a storied fighting family and show the world the truth about who the boxer is. Jake Paul,” the social media celebrity said.

The weight limit will be 185 pounds and can be extended up to eight rounds. The fight will be broadcast for the United States through a pay-per-view on ESPN+ and for the United Kingdom it will be through BT Sport Box.
