The prestigious golf tournament is edging closer and the best players in the world are making their last preparations to try to win it.

It’s one of the most special moments in the golf season, as the best players in the world are looking forward to participating in the Augusta National 2024.

All the eyes will be on the Augusta National Golf Club, where the first major of the season will take place once again.

Who will wear the green jacket at the end of the event? That’s probably the question most fans are thinking of, but what is a sure thing is that the defending champion John Rahm will try to defend last year’s title. If he succeeds, he will become the first golfer to win back-to-back Masters since Tiger Woods did it in 2001-02.

The Barrica native has recorded five top-10 finishes in the tournament and has finished outside the top 10 twice since his first appearance in 2017.

When does the Masters 2024 start?

Despite his success in 2023, Rahm won’t be the favorite to reign supreme at the Augusta National Club, but the American Scottie Scheffler, the event champion in 2022.

The world No. 1 has been looking unstoppable since the start of the season, finishing in the top 10 in seven of his eight tournaments this term.

Scheffler recently won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Players Championship and was close to lifting his third straight trophy last Sunday at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

However, he will have the chance to make history again at the Masters, which will be played from April 11–14.

The first two rounds normally start around 8:00 a.m. ET and the full field of golfers are playing those days, usually in threesomes. Rounds three and four on (Saturday and Sunday) start a bit later in the morning and are played with two players per group.

Besides Rahm and Scheffler, players like Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, and Will Zalatoris are also candidates to wear the green jacket at the end of the tournament.
