When will Novak Djokovic make his return to ATP tennis?
The Serbian star has not played since his Wimbledon triumph, and is missing the US Open, but a date has been set.

The return of Novak Djokovic to an ATP tournament is getting closer.
The number 6 in the world ranking (although no one would doubt that he’s up to five places better than that) has not competed since 10 July, the day he won the Wimbledon final against Nick Kyrgios to achieve his seventh British tournament and 21st Grand Slam title in his career.

Djokovic return in sight
But from there it will be two months before the Serbian will be seen again in an ATP tournament, as he appears on the list to play the ATP 250 in Israel, the Tel Aviv Open, which takes place from September 26 to October 2.
After his win at Wimbledon it seemed that Novak would have several tournaments on his list to play, but the ‘Australia thing’ happened again. As he is not vaccinated, the regulations of certain countries prevent foreigners who are not vaccinated from entering, so the Serbian was left without playing in the Masters 1,000 in Canada, at the Masters 1,000 in Cincinnati and now at the US Open, the last Grand Slam.
Sadly, I will not be able to travel to NY this time for US Open. Thank you #NoleFam for your messages of love and support. ❤️ Good luck to my fellow players! I’ll keep in good shape and positive spirit and wait for an opportunity to compete again. 💪🏼 See you soon tennis world! 👋🏼

Djokovic will continue training for at least two more weeks, because, although he won’t compete in an ATP tournament for another month, he has other appointments on his schedule.
The first is the Davis Cup in Valencia, where Serbia is in group B against Spain, Canada and South Korea, from September 13 to 18. And second, the Laver Cup, is where he’ll team up with Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Andy Murray, in London from September 23 to 25.
