The 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event got underway last week at a new venue, after being held at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for the last 17 years. The 53rd edition of the WSOP returns to its roots on The Strip, where the inaugural tournament in 1970 took place at the legendary Binion’s Horseshoe, won by Johnny Moss. The tournament continued at the Horseshoe until 2005 and returns to a new, updated version of the casino, Bally’s, operated by Caesars Entertainment. The new Horseshoe will include a renovated exterior, new entertainment and a re-imagined casino floor and public areas - all based on the old Fremont Street location.
The 2022 World Series of Poker is being held at Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino which is set to become the new Horseshoe following a multi-million dollar renovation and rebranding. Horseshoe Las Vegas will stand at the 50-yard-line of The Strip at the corner of Flamingo Road.
