Where is the Tyson - Paul fight and when do tickets go on sale?

While the boxing world is still processing the idea that the fight is happening, we’re here to give you the details on when, where, and how much.

Reporte: Jake Paul se enfrentaría a Mike Tyson antes de que termine el año

For those who want to see the YouTube star put to sleep, the interest has never been more intense, and for those who want to see arguably the greatest fighter in boxing history step into the ring one more time, this is a dream come true. Either way, we’ve got the breakdown.

Where and when is Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul and what about tickets?

If you’re a fight fan and haven’t been living under a rock, there is no way that you don’t know that Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will face each other this summer. Assuming you caught our previous report, you will know that the bout is set for July 20th, 2024 with a reported purse of $300 million being offered up. Now, where details are concerned, we know that Netflix with its decision to broadcast live boxing matches, will begin its new foray into combat sports with this blockbuster bout that sees probably the greatest heavyweight champion in the history of the sport, taking on a YouTube sensation turned boxer.

With a record of 56-6, 44 KOs, Mike Tyson needs no introduction. Where his significantly younger opponent is concerned, Paul has only recently embarked on a professional boxing career and to that end, has amassed a record of 9-1, 6 KOs so far. To be fair to the 27-year-old he has continued to put his money where his mouth is and shows no signs of backing down. With that in mind, one could argue that respect is due. That said, many of his antics and comments have caused division amongst fight fans, such that many would like to see him put in his place. Is he destroying the sport as the purists believe, or is he increasing viewership for a sport that has struggled to reinvent itself as Mike Tyson himself believes? We’re not here to judge, but rest assured it makes for an interesting show. Nonetheless, if there is one person who is adept at punishment, it would be Tyson i.e., it may be that Paul has bitten off more than he can chew this time. So, what are the details?

Firstly, we’ve got the where and when. As mentioned before, the bout is set for July 20th and will be streamed live by Netflix. Regarding where it is, it will be held at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Yes, it’s the home of the Dallas Cowboys and with an original capacity of 80,000 which has since been expanded to 105,000, one couldn’t ask for a better venue. This after all is an arena that has hosted a Super Bowl, the NBA All-Star Game, the NCAA Basketball Final Four, and even Wrestlemania. Incidentally, it’s also staged major boxing matches in the past as well, including those between Canelo Álvarez and Billy Joe Saunders in 2021, Errol Spence Jr. and Mikey García in 2019, and Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey in 2010. Of course, the information most will be looking for is all about tickets. According to the stadium’s website, there is no set date for when tickets will go on sale i.e., you will need to keep checking the website to see when they do.
