On Saturday night, Canelo Álvarez (59-2-2, 39 KOs) will stake his undisputed super middleweight title against Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The American also owns four belts but at super welterweight. The first opponent mentioned for the Mexican was Jermall Charlo (32-0-0, 22 KO), Jermall’s twin brother and WBC middleweight champion.

Who is Jermell Charlo, Canelo’s rival?

Jermell Charlo (33 years old) is the undisputed super welterweight champion and has a record of 35 victories, 19 by KO, one defeat, and one no. He has a twin brother, Jermall, who is also a boxer and is the WBC middleweight champion. He remains undefeated and has won 32 fights, 22 before the limit. Jermall was the first Charlo who was considered to face Canelo since there is only one category difference between the two, but finally, the chosen one was Jermell (he will have to go up two).
