Spectators can enjoy stunning vantage points across the course and exclusive drink specials while watching some of the most intense competitions on the PGA Tour. The event supports Shriners Children’s, with proceeds helping to fund specialized medical care for children. The Shriners Children’s Open returns to Las Vegas this week, marking the PGA Tour’s only stop in southern Nevada. Hosted at TPC Summerlin, the event brings professional golfers together for intense competition and to raise money for a meaningful cause—supporting Shriners Children’s Hospitals.

Celebrating its 41st year, the Shriners Children’s Open continues to fund critical medical services, benefiting children with orthopedic conditions, burn care, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate issues.

Patrick Lindsay, the tournament’s executive director, emphasized the event’s importance: “We use this PGA Tour golf tournament to promote the amazing work that Shriners does. Locally, we serve about 700 kids annually, and this event helps raise awareness and support for that work.”

In addition to aiding children, the tournament recognizes community heroes such as first responders and teachers. “They are vital to how our community functions,” Lindsay noted. “We wanted to show them some love by offering free admission, and children under 18 get in for free as well. It’s really a full community event.”

Golf fans can also expect some thrilling competition. Tom Kim, the reigning champion for the past two years, returns to defend his title, promising a weekend of exciting action.

The TPC Summerlin is a par-71 course designed by Bobby Weed. It stretches just over 7,200 yards and rewards players with strong approach play.

With that in mind, among the favorites is Taylor Pendrith, listed at 25-1. Pendrith has been in stellar form, posting five consecutive top-25 finishes, including two top-five results to close out last season. His strength in approach play has been a significant factor, as he has gained strokes in this area in each of his previous five events. Pendrith ranks 48th on tour in birdie or better percentage from the key 150-175 yard range—a vital statistic at TPC Summerlin, where 19.3% of approach shots fall within that distance. Last year, Pendrith finished tied for third at this event, making him a top pick to watch.

Another strong contender is Tom Hoge, available at 33-1. TPC Summerlin is one of the more accessible driving courses on the PGA Tour, ranked 44th out of 45 courses in off-the-tee difficulty. Wide fairways and the ability to club down approach are decisive factors, and Hoge is the best short-to-middle iron player in the field. His course history is impressive, with four top-25 finishes in eight appearances, including a fourth-place finish in 2022. With his approach game, Hoge stands out as a strong choice to contend again.

We should also watch Seamus Power, listed at 33-1. Power is in top form, with back-to-back top-12 finishes, and he thrives in low-scoring conditions like those expected at TPC Summerlin.
