With the defending champion Collin Morikawa missing out, the World number eight has departed St Andrews. Joining him are two former champions in Henrik Stenson and Louis Oosthuizen, the polemic Phil Mickelson, and Brooks Koepka, but the biggest name on the missed cut list is definitely Tiger Woods.
Other big names in the cut list are Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, Bernd Wiesberger, and Pablo Larrazábal.
