The quarterfinals are upon us as at the Cincinnati Open as Alcaraz, Medvedev, Keys and Pegula try to secure a final-four spot.
The WTA Cincinnati Open rolled into Thursday with its number one, two and five seeds still in the tournament. None of them, however, are in the quarterfinals as Swiatek, Kontaveit and Jabeur’s losses have given a chance for less recognizable players to make a splash and win the tournament.
It would be Madison Keys’ second Cincinnati Open title, just as it would be Daniil Medvedev’s if he continues to advance as he regains his form. Taylor Fritz in the quarters, and probably Alcaraz in the semis, will try to stop him.
