‘Canelo’ is a boxer who is synonymous with razzamatazz and his entrances have become widely celebrated. In the past the fighter from Guadalajara has been accompanied to the ring by the likes the of high profile stars such as Eduin Caz, Alejandro Fernández or J Balvin.

For Saturday’s Vegas fight, traditional Mexican singer Luis R. Conriquez is the man enlisted to sing in accompanying Saúl on his entrance at the T-Mobile Arena. It was the 28-year-old himself who revealed the surprise news some time ago: “With Canelo I am going to sing on May 4th for the fight, just so you know.” Conriquez commented on the podcast Hermanos de Leche by Adrián Marcelo and La Mole.
