WrestleMania is a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE since 1985, held between March and April. The most successful and long-running professional wrestling event in history, it contributes to WWE’s global commercial success through media, merchandise, and entertainment. It was touted as the most prominent company event of the year and one of the oldest.

WrestleMania 39 is the upcoming 39th annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view and live-streaming event produced by WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion’s Raw and SmackDown brand divisions.

WrestleMania 39 will be the first event of its kind since WrestleMania 21 to be held in the Greater Los Angeles area and the seventh in California, after Wrestlemania 2, Wrestlemania VII, Wrestlemania XII, Wrestlemania 2000, Wrestlemania 21, and Wrestlemania 31. In addition, it will be the first Wrestlemania to be held under the creative control led by Paul Levesque, Triple H, following the retirement, of Vince McMahon, in July 2022. MacMahon, who had served as the company’s president and CEO since 1982, was responsible for creating Wrestlemania in 1984. MacMahon returned to the company in January 2023 as CEO, a situation that did not affect Levesque’s position.

Like the previous three editions of WrestleMania, the company revealed that WrestleMania 39 was expanded to a two-night event scheduled for Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2.

As is tradition, WWE will hold a series of events throughout the week leading up to the ultimate event. On March 31, the night before WrestleMania 39, WWE will air a special episode of SmackDown “WrestleMania Edition.” Immediately after, the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will occur.
