But, can Scott McLaughlin still catch up to Colton Herta?
The IndyCar championship awards points based on finishing positions in each race. McLaughlin needs consistent top finishes to close the gap. However, Herta’s form and the performance has been superlative at the moment. The American is 42 points ahead of McLaughlin at the moment. The completion still has another 14 races to, with the Indy500 still on the table.
While catching up to Herta is an uphill battle, McLaughlin remains a strong competitor. Fans will be eagerly watching the remaining races to see how the championship unfolds.
