The Mexican Grand Prix will begin on October 28 with practices and additional activities that will be taking place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The festivities will end on Sunday the 30th, after three consecutive days of excitement. Here is a complete guide to enjoying the motor event to the fullest.

Fun Fact! In case you didn’t know, 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of the first Mexican Grand Prix in the country’s capital held in 1962. In commemoration of this date, multiple special activities will be taking place at the Autodromo:

  • Freightliner Legends Cup
  • FIA Formula 4 NACAM
  • GTM de Súper Copa
  • Parade of the pilots
  • Carnaval de Mazatlán

Transport guide for the Mexican GP

  • The Autodromo will NOT have parking facilities.
  • Event organizers will allow remote parking spaces to enable ticket holders to get to the venue.
  • A free shuttle will be made available that runs around the circumference of the property.
  • Taxis will be available at Gate 15 of the Autodromo and at Avena Street.

  • Entry will be allowed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Always have your ticket in hand, identifying the area, stand, and seat.
  • The printed days indicating “Friday”, “Saturday” and “Sunday” must be respected.
  • It is recommended NOT to purchase tickets in places that are not official, or from social media groups or resales.
  • It is recommended that tickets be kept in a safe place to prevent them from being stolen.
  • It is recommended that you do not allow people other than the event organizers to handle your tickets. Do not share photos of your tickets on social networks.

Mexican GP Food and Drink Guide

  • The Cashless Citibanamex system, where you can reload cards either with bank cards or cash, will be used to facilitate payments. The objective of this system is to avoid the use of cash in the arena.
  • If you do not spend the full balance of cashless cards, you can get a digital refund that you can request from Thursday, November 3 through November 30, 2022.
  • Beer will be sold be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., while other kinds of alcohol will be sold from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Schedules of the 2022 Mexican Grand Prix

  • Friday, October 28: Practice 1 (2 p.m. ET) and Practice 2 (5 p.m. ET)
  • Saturday, October 29: Practice 3 (1 p.m. ET) and classification (4 p.m. ET)
  • Sunday, October 30: Race (3 p.m. ET)

The organizers of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Mexico assured that special transportation routes have already been scheduled with the aim of bringing all event attendees with a ticket from remote locations to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodríguez, as that the venue will not have parking.

Important! People with a ticket can also use the transportation service to return to the point of origin.
