What’s the epilogue of the attempted robbery of Carlos Sainz’s watch in Milan?

During the race held in Monza, the 29-year-old Carlos finished in the third position behind two Red Bull drivers - Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Carlos was impressive throughout the race weekend, being the fastest in qualifying and during the two free practice sessions. He maintained the leading position throughout the race until he made a mistake on lap 15.

On Sunday, Sainz was ambushed by three individuals outside the “Armani” hotel in Milan. After a brief altercation, they seized his expensive Richard Mille watch, which happens to be one of Ferrari’s sponsors. The timepiece is called Alexander Zverev, named after the German tennis player, and is valued at approximately £235,000.

Following the theft of Spanish rally driver Carlos Sainz’s watch by the robbers, he and his coach embarked on a pursuit. The chase involved both car and foot, ultimately resulting in Carlos apprehending one of the robbers and successfully retrieving his watch. Meanwhile, the manager of the 29-year-old driver conceived to catch the second robber, and a member of Sainz’s team captured the third. Soon, the police appeared on the scene and took the hoodlums into custody.

“As many of you already know, yesterday, we experienced an unfortunate incident in Milano. The most important thing is that we are all OK, and this will only remain as an unpleasant anecdote.

Many thanks to all the people who helped us yesterday, to the Milan police for their quick intervention, and thanks for all your messages.” Sainz wrote in a post on his social media handles.

Charles Leclerc also had his watch stolen after last year’s race at Imola, and he chased after the perpetrators but without success in catching them.
