FORMULA 1

When was the last time Daniel Ricciardo won a Formula 1 race? How many F1 wins does he have?

AlphaTauri have announced the return of Daniel Ricciardo to Formula 1 in the hopes that he can bring wins. After all, he has a history of winning.

It was a question of when, not if, for AlphaTauri ditching Nyck De Vries. Nobody was surprised that the move took place. But the return of the ever-popular Australian Daniel Ricciardo has been an interesting point.

Team Principal, Franz Tost is hopeful that Ricciardo can bring some of his winning ways to the team.

Over the twelve years since Ricciardo made his F1 debut, he has won eight Grands Prix and has 32 podium finishes under his belt. For a team which has only been able to muster two solitary points this season, this is a clarion call. Over the course of his F1 career, Ricciardo has scored 1311 points.

Along the way, he has started three races from pole and set the fastest lap at 16 different courses. Tost was very clear that he is hoping some of this rubs off on AlphaTauri. “There’s no doubt about his driving skills, and he already knows many of us, so his integration will be easy and straight forward. The team will also profit a lot from his experience, as he is an eight-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner.”

The last time that Ricciardo won a Grand Prix was in Monza 2021. Racing for McLaren back then, he won his eighth at ironically the same race where Nyck De Vries so impressed AlphaTauri.

Here are all eight of Ricciardo’s wins.
