Welcome to our live coverage of Granada vs Real Betis as Nueves Los Carmenes hosts Friday night's LaLiga Santander clash with a 20:45 (CET) kick-off in Granada.
Granada are growing desperate for points and after their 4-0 mauling at the hands of Eibar on Monday, their recovery time has been limited to just three days, Real Betis might sense their weakness and pounce.
Betis have drawn their last three in a row and have improved drastically under Victor Sanchez del Amo. Their most recent draw against Valencia was preceded by an excellent performance and result against Barcelona. The emergence of Dani Ceballos as a dominant attacking midfielder has helped and you have to fear for Granada's chances if the same los Verdiblancos show up as the ones who drew with Barcelona two weeks ago.
Granada and Osasuna have lost sight of the pelathon but Granada are still in with a shout of creating a relegation battle with Leganes being dragged back into the mix, having lost to Sporting Gijón last weekend. Their more recent form of five losses in seven games will have to improve immensely in order for them to stay up, however, and while their 1-0 victory over Las Palmas two weeks ago is saving them from sinking as low as Osasuna in 20th place in LaLiga, they need to turn things around and fast.
