Madrid, Barça, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are going for a third straight win. Manchester United, meanwhile, are still pointless.

The international break has long been forgotten about, with club soccer very much the main focus for the next few weeks. That, of course, includes the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League, which resumes this week with matchday three of the group stage, which will be played on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 October.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in action on Tuesday

In one of two early games on Tuesday, Bayern Munich will be looking to continue their 100% winning start by recording a third successive victory against Turkish champions Galatasaray. Manchester United are also in Group A action later that day against Copenhagen of Denmark and are still searching for their first point.

Real Madrid are another team who have started with two wins out of two in Group C and they will expect to warm up for next weekend’s Clásico with another victory against Braga in Portugal.

PSG vs Milan headlines on Wednesday, City and Barça also play

Paris Saint-Germain against Christian Pulisic’s AC Milan is arguably the pick of the games on Wednesday, with both teams chasing early Group F leaders Newcastle United, who host Borussia Dortmund.

In Group G, current holders Manchester City will expect to continue their perfect start away to Swiss side Young Boys, while Barcelona will be looking to do the same at home to Shakhtar Donetsk in Group H.

Mexico striker Santi Giménez, one of the most in-form strikers in Europe, could make his Champions League debut for Feyenoord against Lazio in one of Wednesday’s early matches but is a slight doubt after suffering an ankle knock in the Dutch champions’ last league fixture.
