AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic returns from injury to face Fiorentina in Serie A
Stefano Pioli confirmed that the USMNT forward has recovered from his injury and will be available for the match against Fiorentina.
The good news at Milan is that Christian Pulisic, who after missing the CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final against Trinidad and Tobago, is ready to return to club action with the Rossoneri.
Pulisic suffered a muscle injury in the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain, which kept him out of action for a couple of weeks.
Pulisic returns
Prior to the return of Serie A after the international break, Milan boss Stefano Pioli Milan confirmed that the US international will be back in the squad for the matchday 13 fixture.
In a press conference ahead of the game, Pioli welcomed the return of some of his players, including Pulisic, but admitted that others such as forward Rafa Leâo will not be available for the clash.
“We are all working to improve and reduce the number of injuries. Christian Pulisic, Davide Calabria and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be back against Florentina, but Rafa Leão, Simon Kjaer and Noah Okafor will not be available for this game,” Pioli explained.
Pulisic in contention to start
With Milan’s injuries, Pulisic is likely to feature against Fiorentina on Saturday after shaking off his muscle injury.
Another reason Pulisic is likely to be in Pioli’s starting XI is the absence of Olivier Giroud, who is facing a one-match suspension.
