Achraf Hakimi’s agent criticises Kylian Mbappé's mother over new venture
The move by the PSG player’s mother has been criticised by the agent of Moroccan international defender Achraf Hakimi.
Kylian Mbappé's mother, Fayza Lamari, has set up an agency with her son, as reported by French outlet L’Équipe earlier this month.
Lyon player Rayan Cherki is expected to become a client, but the move by the PSG player’s mother has been criticised by the agent of Moroccan international defender Achraf Hakimi.
Disrupting the market
There were rumours linking Hakimi with a move to Lamari’s agency, however, in an interview with AS, the player’s agent, Alejandro Camaño, rejected the claims and took the chance to give his view on the France captain’s mother and her new venture.
“We are very surprised that just because she is the mother of an important player, she can interfere in the market,” said Camaño.
He added: “Achraf is part of the Footfeel family. He has been convinced by the project for many years and he has a personal relationship with Kylian, which we respect. Being the mother of a player isn’t enough. For me, it shows a lack of respect for the profession.
“Arri’ has a relationship of affection not only with me, but with all my people. On Monday, we were with him presenting the Achraf Hakimi Foundation in Morocco, which is the first one for a sportsman with the backing of the Ministry of Education and the King of Morocco. It is impossible, unthinkable.
“Fayza Lamari is a business that has nothing other than Kylian Mbappé. Her importance in the market is non-existent, she has no experience, and no deals completed... it is based on a relationship between mother and son and we have seen in the market the relationships of parents who become representatives; their importance in the market is zero.”
