La respuesta de Messi al enterarse que Inter Miami es último

The noise of Lionel Messi’s arrival to Inter Miami continues to reverberate around the globe. Former Argentine striker Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero, who is also one of his best friends, spoke about the move, as well as the conversations between the pair ahead of the official confirmation of the deal to send the World Cup winner to MLS.

In an interview with ESPN Argentina, the former Manchester City striker said he thought that Messi made the right decision, as it will help him to take away a certain degree of pressure from his daily life which will allow him to think about having fun and enjoying more time with his family.

“It was surprising for everyone because there was a lot of talk about Barcelona, but in the end the decision was up to him and I think he chose happiness over continuing with the pressure to keep winning”, said Kun in a chat with ESPN.

On the other hand, the former Manchester City player revealed that he had a telephone conversation with Lionel Messi in which he updated him on the situation of Inter Miami in MLS, as they are rock bottom of the Eastern Conference. Agüero recounted Messi’s reaction when the player found out about the bad patch of form his next team is currently going through.

“We talked a while ago, I sent him the league table. I told him ‘listen to me, your team is bottom, you better get them ninth, eighth, to enter the MLS playoffs. He laughed his ass off, what else was he going to do? With me he laughs... but he said ‘We’re getting to the Playoffs, we have to get there’, he told me”, revealed Kun.
