Alexis Mac Allister gifted World Cup-inspired Adidas Predators
The Brighton and Argentina star received a customised pair to mark his triumph in Qatar.
Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has had quite a season. Not only has the 24-year-old been a part of a Seagulls side flying high in the Premier League, he also starred in Argentina’s World Cup triumph.
Mac Allister’s international heroics are celebrated in a pair of customised football boots that he was gifted by artist Jordan Dawson. The boots are based on the all-gold edition created for French legend Zinedine Zidane that were worn in the midfielder’s iconic last performances at the 2006 World Cup.
The Mac Allister remake features alternating blue and white stripes on the side to reference Argentina’s shirt.
The heels have been embellished with three stars to mark the nation’s three World Cup triumphs. Above the stars are Mac Allister’s initials, ‘AM’.
The Argentine has a sponsorship deal with sports giants Adidas, but he tends to wear the brand’s Copa Pure model.
Mac Allister also received a rapturous welcome when he returned to Brighton after the World Cup win. When he walked into the training ground he was greeted with a standing ovation from club staff and the entire squad, and a confetti cannon in the colours of the Argentine flag.
The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Amex Stadium this summer but Brighton will be sure to demand a premium fee for a golden talent.
