Alexis Vega: “I am very happy at Toluca”

Alexis Vega returned to Toluca this season, the team where he became a professional footballer, and although he has been criticised for his constant injuries, the Mexico City-born player says that he has been improving little by little and is happy to be back in the colours of the Mexican team.

“A lot of people talk and say a lot of things about my knee,” he said. “It is indeed an injured knee, with three surgeries. Even at Chivas, in the last few games I played in, I was in a lot of pain. Now with Toluca, I have been very happy because it has not given me any discomfort.”

Vega added that he still feels tired from so much activity and has been enjoying the whole process. “The truth is that I feel very well. There were a lot of games this month. Yes, I’m tired. It was a long time without playing 90 minutes, but I’m happy and enjoying it a lot because the knee has not given me any problems.”
