América could have Alejandro Zendejas back for their tricky visit to Tigres UANL in the Clausura 2023 matchday 11 fixture this weekend.

The Águilas midfielder suffered an injury that forced him to miss the last five games for the side, but he is already training with the rest of the squad and could make the trip to Monterrey for the clash at El Volcán.

It will be in the coming days when the coaching staff, headed by Fernando Ortiz, will decide if Zendejas is part of the list of players for the match against Tigres, or if he plays with the U-20 team to gradually get back to match fitness.

Brian Rodríguez, who suffered an injury in the match against Xolos on matchday eight is practically ruled out for the UANL game.

After 10 games played, América are sixth in the overall standings with 17 points, with four wins, five draws and one defeat.

The match between Tigres and Águilas will take place on Saturday at the Universitario stadium.
