On Saturday 3 September, Tigres will play América at the Azteca Stadium for their Apertura 2022 Matchday 12 fixture at 9.05 pm (local time).

The team coached by Miguel Herrera will welcome Florian Thauvin back from injury. On 1 September, it was announced that Thauvin was cleared to return to training with his team-mates.

After a week and a half on the sidelines due to an injury suffered on 21 July, the French striker was back in full training with Tigres. Thauvin returned to training on Wednesday, but only took part in the last part of the session.

For Thursday’s session at the Estadio Universitario de Monterrey, the former Marseille player was there from the start as the squad went through warm-up exercises with the ball.

Thauvin has recovered from a grade one tear in his left thigh, which he suffered after the match against Xolos Tijuana on Matchday 3.

Tigres injuries

Despite the return of Thauvin, head coach Herrera is still missing three players: Nicolas Lopez, Sebastian Cordova and Javier Aquino, who are still recovering from their respective injuries and will not be available to face América.
