Andrés Guardado excited to stay at Real Betis
Guardado, the captain of the Mexico national team, has expressed his love for the Andalusian club.
Andrés Guardado has established himself as one of the leaders at Real Betis and confirmed that he hopes to remain with the LaLiga side.
In a chat with Betis’ official communication channels, the former Atlas de Guadalajara youth team player reiterated his love for the club. “I feel very comfortable here. I work with happiness, I like the team, the institution. I’ve been steeped in beticismo and right now I can’t see a life without Betis and the truth is that I’m very excited for the rest of the season,” the former Bayer Leverkusen player said.
Veteran of a thousand battles
Guardado knows that at the age of 36, the physical aspect is starting to weigh a little more heavily. “I look good, maybe some people won’t agree, but I feel strong, good in myself and happy. The competition and the matches show you how much football you have left and I feel good and hopefully, I can continue to be productive for the team,” he added.
The former PSV Eindhoven player has a contract with Real Betis until June 2023.
