Andri Gudjohnsen is very close to leaving Real Madrid. According to Expressen, a Swedish media outlet close to Norrköping, the Real Castilla striker is very close to packing his bags for Sweden, where he will sign for the first division club.

The player has already given the green light to the move, communicating his decision to Madrid after losing prominence with Real Madrid Castilla over the last year.

If Castilla striker Latasa is fit, he plays for Raúl. But Gudjohnsen, initially a striker, has seen Álvaro Rodríguez take his place on the right, starting many games ahead of him. Faced with this situation, Gudjohnsen has decided to leave Valdebebas and, according to Expressen, the deal with Norrköping is almost finalised. Norrköping is a historic Swedish club with 13 league titles, but has only won once since 1989, in 2015.

Iceland international

Andri is a big striker, standing 1.88m tall, and his heading is one of his strengths. This season he played 21 games, but only started four times and came off the bench to score four goals. Despite his young age, he is already an almost permanent fixture for the Iceland national team. He made his debut at 19 years, seven months and four days of age, and has made eight appearances, scoring two goals in World Cup qualifiers. He is the son of former Barcelona, Monaco and Chelsea player Eidur Gudjohnsen.
