Wednesday’s defeat to Bayern Munich was a bitter pill to swallow for PSG. Despite experiencing more European failure, there will be no major changes at the club, and Luis Campos and Christophe Galtier are set to continue in the French capital. Campos has not fulfilled the objectives of building a competitive team around Kylian Mbappé, and has failed miserably in the most recent transfer window. Club president Nasser Al Khelaïfi, aware that the departure of the sporting advisor could leave his star player isolated, will give the freelance advisor a second chance. The summer transfer window will prove if the Portuguese can make an impact at the club.

As for Galtier, PSG consider him to be Campos’ choice, which is why a departure, at least in the short term, is not expected. According to Le Parisien, the club will only sack him if they lose out on the Ligue 1 title. At the time of writing, they are currently eight points clear of second-placed Marseille. In Qatar, doubts about his management of the squad have increased, but no decision will be made until the end of the season.

Galtier was appointed by PSG for two seasons in July 2022, and he was brought in to win the Champions League. In Qatar, for the moment, his sacking is not on the cards, although club directors would like to eventually appoint former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
