Authorities are analyzing conversations tied to the case that reportedly include discussions about meeting logistics, payments, and transportation as part of a broader inquiry into potential exploitation-related offenses.
According to the same information, investigators believe a meeting did take place, and that Bastoni allegedly arranged a taxi for the young woman the following morning. The inquiry also suggests there may have been more than one encounter, including a sushi dinner attended by others before the pair spent time alone.
Questions raised in recorded conversations
In one exchange cited in the investigation, Bastoni reportedly asked, “Are there places to hide there?” The organizer allegedly replied, “We’ll figure something out. Worst case, you just take her home,” followed by additional details about payment for both the dinner and transportation arrangements.
Separately, a message attributed to the young woman, sent around 4 a.m., reportedly confirmed her location. It read, “Yes, everything is fine. I’m at his house. I’m sleeping here.”
Prosecutors prepare for further questioning
Prosecutors plan to examine the details of these chat logs more closely during questioning scheduled for Friday. At this stage, the young woman has reportedly confirmed she was at the footballer’s home but has denied that any sexual relations took place.
