Arsenal pull nine points clear as Man City stumble: full Premier League title run-in
Arsenal strengthen their grip on the Premier League after beating Everton, while Manchester City drop points at West Ham. Check the remaining fixtures for both teams.

Arsenal have strengthened their grip on the Premier League title race. Their 2-0 win over Everton, coupled with Manchester City’s draw at West Ham, allowed them to open up a nine-point lead at the top of the standings.
Pep Guardiola’s team still have a game in hand over the Gunners, and they will also welcome the league leaders to the Etihad on April 19, which corresponds to matchday 33. However, regaining the trophy they surrendered to Liverpool is now very much out of their own hands after a second successive slip.

Arsenal regain momentum
Things had started to look ominous for Mikel Arteta’s side after they were held by Brentford and surrendered a 2-0 lead to bottom club Wolves in back-to-back games in February.
Four wins in a row for City, meanwhile, put them right on Arsenal’s tail. Guardiola’s side knew they could be crowned champions if they won all of their remaining games, including the top-of-the-table clash in Manchester in April.
However, the script has flipped in recent weeks, which could prove decisive.
Arsenal are now on their own four-game winning streak, while the Citizens have dropped points out of nowhere against Nottingham Forest and West Ham, both battling at the wrong end of the table.
Manchester City’s dreadful week
When the heavy Champions League defeat to Real Madrid is also thrown into the mix, it has been a potentially fatal loss of form for City in an alarming week.
The 2023 Champions League winners now need to win their game in hand just to get within six points of Arsenal. Even a victory over the leaders at the Etihad would still leave them playing catch-up.
