How long can Arsenal keep winning games? That’s probably the question many soccer and Premier League fans have been asking themselves lately, as Mikel Arteta’s players have won their last six matches across all competitions and seem invincible in the league.
The Gunners are leading the standings with 36 points, four more than Aston Villa, and six more than the Premier League favorites Manchester City. Moreover, in the Champions League they advanced to the round of 16 and did it as the best Group B side.
However, the game vs. Aston Villa won’t be a walk in the park for Arsenal, as the hosts have proven that are one of the most solid teams in the league this campaign and recently defeated City at Villa Park. The Villans are a new team under Unai Emery’s guidance and they will do whatever it takes to keep recording good results and get closer to the first spot in the table.
Arsenal looking to reclaim top spot
Liverpool's earlier win over Crystal Palace in south London sees Jurgen Klopp's men move into top spot in the Premier League table with a one point lead over the Gunners.
A win for the home side would see Unai Emery's men move to within one point of the men from North London.
The Premier League title race (so far) this season is making for excellent entertainment.
