Barcelona and Real Madrid to play El Clásico in Las Vegas
The La Liga giants are set to meet in an exhibition match in the summer at Allegiant stadium with the date yet to be confirmed.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are two of the most popular teams across the globe and the huge rivalry between them - known as El Clásico - is moving to the United States this summer. According to journalist Helena Condis Edo, the La Liga giants will play in an exhibition match at Allegiant stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada with the date to be determined.
This will be the second time in the history of El Clásico that it will be played in the United States; the first time was in 2017 when the teams played at Hard Rock stadium. In that friendly, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-2 in front of a sell out crowd.
Even though no date has been set this summer’s Clásico in Las Vegas, Nevada, it is speculated that it will take place between 19 and 30 July. What’s more, it has been reported that Barcelona will receive a sum close to $12 million for facing Real Madrid in the summer.
Barcelona will play more friendlies in the US
The team managed by Xavi Hernández will play three friendlies in the United States as part of their preseason. Barcelona will also play against Inter Miami in Miami, Juventus in Los Angeles, California and close their American tour in New York against the MLS side the Red Bulls.
